The promotion of the equal treatment of scientists is a special concern of the CRC 653. Therefore, several measures for assuring equality as well as a familiy-friendly working environment are in effect.

In cooperation with the central office for gender and diversity of the Leibniz Universität Hannover, the CRC actively supports the implementation of the equality standards of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) and the equality policy of Leibniz Universität Hannover. Furthermore, several programs and seminars are offered to promote female scientists and to increase the Steigerung familiy-friendliness. In addition, the CRC 653 intensively cooperatis with the central contact point for the communication, innovation und cooperation between schools and university (uniKIK) for the promotion of students and pupils. With the objective to increase the ratio of women in the MINT-subjects (Mathematics, Informatics, Nactural sciences and technology), the CRC 653 further publishes image adverts in selected media.
